I wrote two days ago that we had had the first snowfall for the season – it was just a light sprinkling. Well last night and today we had real proper white the whole area out snowfall. Over the course of the last 24 hours we have had about 15cms. We have more forecast for tonight and tomorrow. It has caused more than a few problems with the roads into Petra closed this morning until they were able to get the road clearing equipment out to open up the roads again. Even then with the wind blowing it quickly turned the roads to ice and there were cases of cars and even a bus sliding off the road into the side cuts.
This was the view from our balcony today. I think you will agree with me that it turned Petra into a winter wonderland. There was something quite magical about everything being cloaked in white.
Wow great photo. I have enjoyed reading your blog and seeing all your photos.
